After travelling to Europe and Canada in her twenties, Dale returned to Australia determined to make art her career. She completed a TOP Art course and was accepted into Prahran College of Advanced Education, Diploma of Art and Design course.  Dale then completed a Graduate Diploma in Education and  taught art for over twenty years in High Schools,  Technical Schools and Colleges in Vic, WA, NT and Qld.

After leaving Darwin and working as a supply teacher for a few years, Dale and her partner bought a small mobile food business and travelled extensively within Australia following shows and festivals from Rockhampton to Tasmania.

She also started to create and show her own art work and had her first solo show in 2010. Dale has now had over 20 solo shows and taken part in too many group shows to count. She has had quite a few commissions, has acted as Artist in Residence a few times and regularly works together with other artists at the Cooroy Butter Factory.

Dale has also just joined Red Hill Gallery in Brisbane which is very exciting. She now has her own studio, paints daily and occasionally gives small classes for interested adults. Dale also takes part in Noosa Open Studios every year.
