About Dale Leach

I trained

After travelling to Europe and Canada in my twenties, I returned to Australia determined to make art my career. I completed a TOP Art course and was accepted into Prahran College of Advanced Education, Diploma of Art and Design course.  I then completed a Graduate Diploma in Education and  taught art for over twenty years in High Schools,  Technical Schools and Colleges in Vic, WA, NT and Qld. After leaving the NT, we bought a small mobile food business and travelled extensively within Australia following shows and festivals from Rockhampton to Tasmania. I also started to create and show my own art work and had my first solo show in 2010. I have now had over 20 solo shows and taken part in too many group shows to count. I have had quite a few commissions, have acted as Artist in Residence a few times and regularly work together with other artists at the Cooroy Butter Factory. I have also just joined Red Hill Gallery in Brisbane which is very exciting. I now have my own studio, paint daily and occasionally give small classes for interested adults. I also take part in Noosa Open Studios every year.
