Noosa Open Studios

For 2020 Noosa Open Studios, 30 local artists were chosen to design and paint a deckchair. The Cooroora Woodworkers made the frames from locally sourced timber which came from a single tree in Cooran. My deckchair was named after the Shaka, the Hawaiian hand gesture that gives a positive greeting and good wishes to others. Especially if the back of the hand is facing you. The scrub turkey is a local resident and Laguna Bay is the heart of Noosa. The deckchairs all went to auction and the proceeds will now go towards the printing of the 2021 NOS Guide Book.
